My name is Chris, and I am the founder of Windsor and Eton Stoves. My passion for design began in college and has grown into a lifelong commitment to creating beautiful, functional spaces centred around the warmth and character of a fireplace.
Over 10 years ago we opened our showroom within Squires Garden Centre in Shepperton, giving customers the chance to explore wood-burning, gas and electric stoves in a welcoming environment. Since then, we've helped hundreds of homeowners find the perfect centrepiece for their homes: from first consultation through to professional installation and aftercare.
Our work has included a RIBA Stirling Prize–winning project, a benchmark of what we hold ourselves to on every home we're invited into.

Windsor & Eton Stoves Limited is the best company to advise and install a new wood burner. The attention to detail and extra efforts that Chris went to for a complete installation, was amazing to experience. Nothing was too much effort and ensuring safety first at all cost, is much appreciated. We have used our wood burner 3 times since installation last week, and cannot believe that 2 medium logs took about 3 and half hours to burn where as normally we would have gone through about 6-8 logs. The heat from the wood burner is stunning and warmed up the house in no time. I can recommend Chris and his team 100% and will only use them going forward. Thank you for a brilliant service!

0800 678 5041What does HETAS registration mean, and why does it matter?+
HETAS is the UK’s official body for the biomass and solid-fuel industry. As HETAS-registered installers (registration 3869) we can legally self-certify our installations to Building Regulations, so you avoid separate Local Authority approval and receive a HETAS certificate for your records and your home insurer.
How much does a wood burning stove installation cost?+
Installation starts from £1,700 (excluding the stove) where a suitable hearth, fire chamber and chimney are already in place. Where scope is uncertain: for example a sealed chimney breast, we itemise potential additional costs in advance so there are no surprises.
How long does the process take?+
Most surveys are booked within a week. After the survey we issue a written fixed-price quote within 24–48 hours. Standard installations are completed in 1–3 days on site.
What guarantees do you offer?+
A minimum 12-month, no-quibble workmanship guarantee, plus 15–30 year manufacturer warranties on flue components and 5-year to lifetime warranties on stoves depending on brand. Glass, rope seals and firebricks are classed as consumables and are not covered.
What is the payment structure?+
A deposit: the cost of the stove plus 50% of installation, is requested within 72 hours of quotation acceptance. The remaining balance is due on satisfactory completion. No fees.
Do you work in conservation areas or listed buildings?+
Yes. We manage planning and Building Control applications on your behalf where required, and are experienced with the sensitivities of conservation-area and heritage properties across Windsor, Eton and the surrounding villages.
